The challenge

Growing under desert heat means humidity, CO₂, and temperature swing fast, and a cloud round-trip is too slow and too fragile for a working greenhouse. Iyris needed distributed sensing and a local controller that keeps climate setpoints even when connectivity drops.

What we built

The full pipeline, end to end — not a blurb.

  1. 01Hardware

    Multi-parameter sensor nodes (temperature, humidity, CO₂, PAR) on an RS-485 bus, plus an edge controller board.

  2. 02Firmware

    A deterministic control loop with actuator drivers for vents, fans, and fogging, and fail-safe modes.

  3. 03Edge

    A PLC-class local setpoint controller with Modbus integration and full offline autonomy.

  4. 04Cloud

    Dashboards, remote setpoint push, and alerting.

  5. 05Deployment

    Multi-zone rollout with OTA updates.
